Artist Statement

My work is driven by curiosity, play, and a deep interest in how objects and imagery can hold emotion. I move between mediums such as illustration, mixed media, and sculpture, following what feels most alive in the moment and allowing the materials to guide the process.
A significant shift in my creative perspective happened after losing my mother to cancer, an experience that continues to shape how I move within the world. My visual language is bold, colorful, and expressive, and I am drawn to creating work that feels rich with life, often centered around character driven forms and playful compositions. In a world that often leans toward minimal, muted, and mass produced aesthetics, I use color and form as a way to push back. My work embraces vibrancy, personality, and a sense of individuality.
There is often a gentle tension beneath the surface. Playfulness paired with stillness, vitality alongside a hint of darkness. These elements are not always overt, but they exist as an undercurrent that adds depth to otherwise bright and expressive pieces.
Rather than working within a single defined style, I see my practice as something that is always evolving. Each piece becomes an opportunity to explore connection, memory, and feeling in a new way.
At its core, I want my work to feel like an antidote to the ordinary, something that brings character, emotion, and a little more life into the everyday.
